About Alex Bennett

So, you may be asking yourself, who is this "Alex Bennett" person? How'd he get here, why did he make this site, what's he planning on doing with himself in the future? Well, dear reader, allow me to answer your questions satisfactorily.

I originally designed this website as a class project but since then it's grown to be a personal expression of who I am and how I've grown. Originally born in Tacoma, Washington, I moved to Texas just before second grade. I've lived in Texas ever since then, apart from one semester spent studying abroad in Europe during my sophomore year at Baylor University. My major is journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. I love the ability to interview people, because everyone has at least one good story to tell. I love taking that story, shaping it, molding it, editing it until it becomes a creation I can share with others. It's always a good feeling getting positive feedback on a story you're proud of.

As for my plans for the future, I'm not entirely sure, but I've got a pretty good preliminary path so far. I just got accepted to Texas A&M University School of Law, and they've offered me a 100% scholarship based on my LSAT score (161) and GPA (3.93). The current plan is to become a lawyer and serve at Haugen Law Firm, which is owned by my Dad, John Haugen. I have a feeling I could be able to use my law degree to do a lot of good in the world.

But until then I've got a few more classes, a summer vacation, and ample opportunity to make the most of every day that meets me. I sincerely hope you enjoy this little site - a fair amount of effort has gone into it, and I hope maybe part of it can make you smile.
